PINK Break!

Spring break is a time students get to put away their books and head out to the beach for some fun in the sun with friends. Over the years Victoria’s Secret PINK has brought Spring Break to a whole new level. Every year Victoria Secret ‘PINK’s out’ spring break and throws a huge bash in an area known for its beaches, South Florida!

PINK Break 1

It all started in 2004 at Miami Beach. Spring break was welcomed by a Pink Runway Show featuring new and exclusive spring break bikinis. Models, like Alessandra Ambrosio, passed out Pink goodies like free t-shirts and interacted with fans that came out.

Due to its success, Pink continued on with the spring break tradition and the next major party was also held in Miami and had guests such as Selita, Ebanks, Ciara, Jojo, Nick Cannon, Kristin Cavallari and Haylie Duff. Party go-ers could dunk celebrities in the dunk tank, watch Nick Cannon juggle or indulge in some ice cream to beat the heat. There was also non-stop DJ entertainment, a smoothie bar, tug of war, pool relay races, volleyball and many other fun activities for PINK fans to enjoy.

The next major PINK bash was thrown in 2010 at Key West’s landmark Mallory Square. Not only was their an exclusive PINK-ified Pop-Up Shop featuring must have Spring Break items but also a photo booth, body painting, glitter tattoos, braiding and beading, friendship bracelet making, palm readings, and even hacky sack! Afterwards there were musical performances by One Republic and Matt White and a guest appearance by Ashley Tisdale and  Behati Prinsloo.

 PINK Break 3

In 2011, Victoria’s Secret PINK hosted Spring Break in Miami with the theme “Let’s go wild in Miami” the celebration was at Lummus Park in South Beach. The party was hosted by PINK models Chanel and Behati. At the party Victoria’s Secret launched their exclusive “Aloha Pink Collection” and gave early access to all members who attended.  The day was filled with fun activities, beach challenges, freebies and more!

In 2012, PINK went all out during Spring Break. By then Victoria’s Secret PINK’s spring break event had become the biggest annual event to hit South Beach. The party was held at the Shelborne Beach Resort and took 3 days to set up. They worked their magic and transformed the upscale beach-side lounge of the Shelborne to a Victoria’s Secret Pink haven complete with balloons, furniture, logos, banners and pool furniture all made exclusively for the event. The event welcomed over 800 people and was the buzz of the town thanks to hosts Joe Jonas, Chanel Iman and Elsa Hosk. It featured goodies such as a PINK ice cream stand, branded games, water pong, a photo booth, surfboard signing station, a taco stand, and an exclusive Pop-Up PINK store to display all the hottest trends for spring break.

PINK Break 4

This year PINK kicked off Spring Break with a vote-off for the next PINK bandeau. This was open to all PINK Nation members and featured the most talked about piece of the season the bandeau! After weeks of voting the winner was…..

PINK Break 5

I can’t wait to pick up and rock this new bandeau this spring break. It is the perfect piece to layer under a cover-up or even wear for a day of tanning at the beach! There also will be a private shopping event featuring the newest Spring Break Apparel and goodies by the brand open only to Pink Nation Members. The event will be hosted after-hours, have special offers, a DJ to jam out to while shopping for the hottest looks and offers exclusively for those who attend! You can get your invite at pink.victoriasecret.com and join the fun February 17th.

We can’t wait to see the fun PINK has planned for this Spring Break!

DIY- Knotted No Crimp Hair Ties!

knotted hair tie

Quick! You’ve already got the perfect comfy cute outfit of your favorite PINK yoga pants and raglan, now, what to do with the hair?!

Look no further! Keep away from the pricey boutiques and make your own Knotted No Crimp Hair Ties to match all your favorite Victoria Secret PINK looks!

What You Need:

– Fold over elastic ( Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, Online)

– Ruler

– Scissors

– Glue OR far away lighter

knotted hair tie 2

What To Do:

1. First, measure off 8.5 inches of elastic. ( Depending on how you want to wear your hair tie you may want to make it a little longer) Cut the elastic at an angle so it won’t fray!

2. Wrap the elastic around your fingers and tie a knot! Leave about 1/4 an inch on the ends. Avoid pulling on the edges.

3. For sealing the edges, you have two choices depending on the amount of elastic on the ends.

– If you only have a little, then dab the ends in some glue and let dry!

– If you have 1/4 of an inch or a little more, then with a far away lighter hold the ends of the elastic near the flame. NOT in the flame, the elastic CAN catch on fire! But just close enough so that the ends seal.

( The lighter method makes the ties last a little longer, but be careful!)

4. Style! Hair tie or bracelet these ties will finish off any PINK outfit perfectly!

(P.S.) You can also make headbands! Just make the elastic about 1 inch longer than around your head!
